No pictures, unfortunately, but we made supper last night. I will tell you the ingredients and their sources.
Elk - From Jeff and Kathy's 2010 hunt in CO.
Rhubarb - From Mark's Garden
Snap Peas - From our Garden
Blueberries - We gathered from Hatcher Pass
pineapples - Costco
and a bunch of spices etc etc.
It was a delicious sweet and sour elk dish served over brown basmati rice. It's always fun this time of year to eat the bounty of the land!
My friends Gilia and Chris have definitely done well this year.
Their harvest:
1200 Clams
34 pounds of Blueberries
22 Fish
A ton of Basil (which became 5 pound of pesto)
And soon we are expecting
Gilia-1 caribou
Chris-1 moose
And hopefully Paul will bring some elk home from his hunt in Co with his Dad and Bro.

All I see from this post is - sounds like they could easily enjoy a good harvest in Colorado (or really anywhere in the Lower 48). Things have historically grown pretty well in California. They should move here!
That elk sure tasted good.
