Free Stuff

Yesterday we enjoyed some back to school festivities on campus at UAA. We went because we heard there was free food and prizes. And there was. There was actually an amazing amount of free stuff. Half way through our wanderings, we realized it was like Halloween. We had a huge seawolf (that's the UAA mascot) laundry bag that we just kept throwing everything into. Not only did we score a huge stash of candy and assorted other goodies, we got nine (yes NINE!) free shirts! I get pretty amped if I score one free t-shirt per any event. So this was epic. And only 1 of them is XXL. That is pretty remarkable considering the usual percentage of XXL shirts in the free pile. We got home and spread out our loot into piles, just like on Halloween. Within minutes we found out that Paul had won a drawing for 2 free movie tickets! Sometimes he goes to movies for work, so they will come in handy. Then we rested up for our midnight trip to the grocery store. It was open from midnight until 2 am just for UAA students. They had a sound system blaring all that crazy club music and were giving away hotdogs and everything was on sale. We saved a bunch on our regular groceries and scored a couple bags of freebies. All in all, a well-spent Saturday evening. Not as impressive as Ben & Kelsey's hundreds of dollars jackpot, but not shabby at all. And tomorrow...THE FAIR!!!

Oh my goodness! That is a lot of free t-shirts (and other stuff)! Just like Halloween! I just bought a couple of t-shirts for Ben because it seems like we have moved out of the free-t-shirt phase of life. Maybe we just need to hang around more college campuses.

First, you guys should start running races! Then you'd get free shirts all over the place! (Actually, they cost you like $70, but if it's been several months since you paid the entrance fee, it FEELS free). Also, what are you going to do with the Mountain Dew?

My favorite free thing you got was the dog balloon. He's worth everything else put together.

Brittany Canada,
I understand your confusion since the picture isn't so sharp, but that is a dinosaur.
