This film was taken a couple days before the pictures in the last post. This is our neighbor's front yard and then our front yard. Same moose. What's funny is that later that day Paul had to watch a video clip for his class of behavioral studies of moose that showed a moose attacking someone.

Pests
We have a new neighbor. This is him across the street.
And this is him eating our greenery and flowers.
We banged on the window to no avail. My boss says she has a big walking stick that she uses to smack the moose on the butt when he's eating her flowers. He's been here several times this week. I came home from work one day and he was sitting in front of our neighbor's house in the shade, like a big dog. Some gardners have to worry about bugs. We have to worry about moose. Apparently spraying wolf or lion's urine around your garden keeps the moose away. Strangely enough, we don't have any of that on hand.

Birthday
This post is late late late as Paul's b-day was over a month ago, but here are some lovely picutres of our celebration breakfast anyway.

Yes, I know you're thinking...breakfast? Are those roasted potatoes and an artichoke? Yup. But on your birthday you get whatever you want for breakfast.

And this is the pie I made him that was...rather soupy.

He got a new set of bongos in that big box and a big thank you goes out to our parents for hooking him up with some extra spending money.

I entered the MTC with sweet sweet Sister Robinson as my companion who put up a picture of her sheep in the mountains right next to my picture of the farm.

Happenings and Hopings
People have been clamoring for a post. (Okay, okay, it was only Robinson. But I know the rest of you are dying along with her for want of info on Shug and Paul's life.) Here's a list of the most exciting things going on with us lately.
1.) Paul's birthday! Celebrated with blueberry pie (that I apparently forgot to put enough cornstarch in...I'm losing my mind, much to my mom's vindication. Still delicious, though. And you may not know this, but it's true: Pie makes an excellent smoothie ingredient.) and a trip to Sourdough Mining Company where we ate a ton of legendary corn fritters. Paul got a lovely set of Bongos that are my favorite new toy. (I'm quite good. I like to think of my style as "unorthodox.")

2.) My last paystub confirmed that I have 187.5 hours of paid time off saved up. Right on schedule for our upcoming summer of fun.
3.) We've decided on which island to stay at while we're in Thailand. Yes, we're keeping up on the news and the tavel advisories, but Brittany's friends in Thailand swear it's fine and my well-travelled friends make fun of me for being overly concerned. I want to start practicing Nerts (Pounce, for the Rigg side of the family) to get on top of my game for the mad playing that will be done in our our little hut.

4.) Grant and his Dad are coming to visit us this summer. Okay, okay, they are coming to fish, but we all pretend they're coming to visit us too!

5.) We've got our tickets home to YG for the end of July. Levi and Julie and Grandma are going to be there. I'm so stoked to be home on the farm in the summertime. I'm really looking forward to showing the farm to Paul who doesn't yet know that part of my life (and consequently, me.)

6.)Griff and Ben are coming here in August!!! I didn't think it would ever happen, but they're coming! We're going to talk and hike and talk and camp and talk and eat and talk and I'm really looking forward to it.

7.) One more week of seminary!
8.) Paul's last class of the semester was yesterday! He's practically a genius at signing now.

9.) Which brings us to our next exciting news. Paul has a new job as an Individual Service Provider for someone who is deaf. That'll be an adventure.
10.)The sun is rising at 5:52 am and setting at 10:04. And the days are only getting longer and longer!

11.) I'm getting really good at hackey sack.

12.) I've learned a new game with the youth in the ward. It's called Ninja and it's really really fun. I'm getting better all the time, but they pretty much smoke me for the most part.

All in all, all is well.
