June

Our backyard has pretty much been heaven this summer.  We've enjoyed watching the different stages of our apples growing.

Being sunny together!

More zooing.  Ezra does a great moose call.

June is the month of dipnetting at the Copper River.  Paul went without us again this year.  I could not be talked into it.  Here's Esme helping Johnnie across the street get ready to go.  One of the women who goes on this annual adventure saw me after they got back and said, "Next year, Shug."  The way in which she said it was very warm and inviting and simultaneously very..."Ok.  Enough's enough.  Time to put this silliness behind us and get going!"  I love the people in my life.  They feel like it's ridiculous to skip out on a weekend of camping and fishing just because I have 2 two year olds and an infant.

The first attempt with the big group of friends was kind of a bust due to lack of fish and vicious winds/dust, so Paul went back on a solo trip.  It was an intense drive up in the middle of the night, fish all day, drive back all night kind of a trip.  We were happy when he made it home with coolers full of fish.

The kids loved the radishes we grew.  They can't wait for the peas.

This day we went out to McHugh Creek.  Gorgeous!

I love that my kids find each other so entertaining.  At least they both think Esme is funny.  This picture warms my heart so much.

Sometimes I find little collections.

I've never noticed as many flowers as I have this year.  We find them everywhere!

Stickers for potty training!

Nothing but smiles coming from this guy.

Sometimes I daydream about the fresh salmon omelette Paul made many years ago. It was seriously incredible!
