Sweet Elixer

Paul came back to Alaska in the dead of winter almost 2 years ago. He brought with him something amazing. He called it..."Hot Tang." Oh dang. It was a gift from his mission president's wife, Sister Sonne. She would always coyly avoid answering pleas for recipes by saying, "Oh, it's just Tang and some spices." When you drink it, you feel funny inside. I had some this morning to ease the pain from the wracking cough that's ripping apart my lungs inside of me.

When we make it we just add "some spices." Usually allspice, cloves, nutmeg...you know. Try it!

Yes! I've tried this! Actually it was a recipe with Tang, a little Country Time mix, cinnamon, and cloves. Probably would be good with some nutmeg. Yum! And feels so good in the winter. My friend called it Wassail. Hot tang is pretty cool too. Maybe you should call me tomorrow.
